worth betting that harris winning the popular vote by massive margins and then barely winning the electoral college — or, worst case scenario — losing the ec, would stoke greater outrage and impetus for change in our political system than third party votes tipping the popular & ec vote to donald.

I'd say it went past that tipping point at the latest around 2021/22 and in some ways when the first Nazis to show up around 2017/18 weren't immediately kicked out. And yes any new one worth supporting would have to commit itself absolutely to not repeating that mistake.
