Having now finished Tress, I’m far more interested in giving the rest of Sanderson’s work a try.

#16 Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson When I picked this one up last year I complained about its tone feeling like The Princess Bride and Pratchett's writing, both of which I cannot stand, and reading the postscript: I'm vindicated.

So I posted Saturday's tree earlier, but in fact Saturday has a lot of trees. The dendrotropism was very strong this afternoon. 🙂

Large tree with yellow leaves, lit by low-angle sunlit. Other trees appear in the background. The tress are all casting shadows toward the viewer, and the grass and asphalt behind them are sunlit. The sky is blue.
Yellow and brown tree leaves on green grass.
Red maple leaves in a blue sky.
Maple leaves, mainly orange but a few yellow or yellow-green, some verging on brown, in bright sunlight against a blue sky.
