Corollary — we desperately need a “this is what you do when the bad times come” compendium in easy WW II propaganda instructional form. Water systems, medical triage, etc.
it's like if you went to the doctor's office and instead of trying to triage you, a thousand random people just shouted diagnoses at you

There's a line from a random comment I read that's lodged in my brain "In the US ICU space is a revenue generator. Here it's an expense generator." I'm sure people mean well but public healthcare + limited resources = it's ALWAYS "somewhat the bad reason" somewhere in the chain. Triage is eternal.
That's not a mainstream view even in pro life circles, though. Which is why we have pro lifers objecting to some of the more extreme bans. MOST of them actually do understand triage to some degree. But you're right about the fringe and man are they so loud.

Yes. Triage has always been a key part of the NHS online approach though they did almost have to split the triage process by sex as “blokes” are rubbish at admitting that the sharp stabbing in their chest and left arm might be serious! Fortunately bears are all cowards :)
Yep. Second birth, I randomly started hemorrhaging. No risk factors, no hospital interventions (baby was out 30 minutes after I was admitted from triage). 100 years ago, I'd be dead.
Ach triage, schmiage, wäre es nach dem gegangen hätten sie die Leute zum Sterben einfach auf die Gänge gelegt
