That's a ridiculous situation to call offsides in. I know it's the rule, but I continue to maintain that it hurts the competitiveness and excitement of the game when a turnover turns into a breakaway that gets denied because they were a step ahead of the defender.

I've heard similar things. Agree it's a minus. Screamers and throwers have high turnover rates, which is expensive and inefficient as well as a shitty way to treat people. OTOH she seems to get shit done despite handicapping herself that way which speaks to other abities, and she debates very well.
update: i put puff pastry dough on the grocery list and decided to just make turnovers. what’s not to love about an apple turnover? it’s basically the same dessert only cuter and the dough won’t be moistened by my frustration tears
