One of these days, I'll get one or two tyranid figures, and it will be a hive tyrant. Until then, I'm having much fun playing around with how to fit armor on those bugs. Surprisingly, armored ogryns make for good references. Will post more bugs in the future!
@alieniisms.bsky.social ā For those unfamiliar with how the Tyranid "Shadow of the Warp" works , allow me to clarify: ā If you wield magic , psychic power , or other kinds of reality -warping abilities , proximity to the Hive Fleet causes them to fail or backfire horrendously enough to kill . ā
I absolutely love both the tyranids and the guard, so it didn't take long for me to fuse them together. #warhammer40k#tyranid
@spannertchmg.bsky.social ā Though 'Alpha' is much smaller and petite than most of her kin , underestimating them is a lethal affair . ā Basilisk has shaped them to take the best attributes of each Tyranid bioform .. And the extent of their mutated abilities is yet unknown . ā
More gribblies for my Tyranid army...slowly building up to start a crusade my FLGS is going to run soon.
Painted the Tyranid Prime I sprayed yesterday. Thought I wouldn't enjoy it (too biological), but it was an absolute ton of fun. The old yellow and red scheme brought me around (and plenty of liquid talent).
Hell yeah. Seeing the Cadians in action with such great graphical fidelity was a real treat for me as I used to collect Guard years ago. Super nostalgic seeing the Chimeraās and Lehman Russ tanks. I hope Leandros gets skewered by a Tyranid or something in a new mission, man I hate that guy! š
I'm going to repost my favorites from this year's EU Golden Demon because why not. I took and selected these ahead of the judging on Sunday. The lighting in the cabinets wasn't great but I think most pics still turned out fine. Tried adding all the painters names in the alt text.
@airheadtrainer.bsky.social ā Hive Fleet Basilisk is a Tyranid Splinter Fleet descendant from remnants of Leviathan that were stranded in another reality . ā Though small in number , their access to 'superhuman' genetics and use of precision tactics make them infamous for their elite bioforms . ā
