October 12th: Shaun of the Dead @urzamtg.bsky.social@theferrett.bsky.social discovered a local theater was having a 20th anniversary showing on what happens to be Urza and my 10th anniversary, so we picked up tickets to see it there.
Game's pretty fun tho 😭 I have yet to play two cards in my deck that melds into Urza planeswalker aaaaaa

Ok it's 1am but I finished sorting and sleeving the Urza pile, it's unfocused at the moment and I chose not to use Thassa's Oracle as a wincon, instead I'm opting for Mechanized Production with Ballista infinite ping as a backup. Avoided 0 cost counterspells to keep it somewhat power restrained
2 AP card commissions finished before IX! Still so much work to do before the show but it was fun to paint Liliana and Urza! 🙂 #magicthegathering#oilpainting
I love Karn. He was created by Urza to b experiment with time travel. He later becomes part of Urza’s Legacy Weapon meant to defeat Yawgmoth. He also created his own plane that would eventually become Mirrodin. He reminds me of Data from ST:NG in a lot of ways.
my favorite two parts of the initial Magic saga are well-summarized in two of the Legendary Sorceries of Dominaria: ---Urza's Ruinous Blast, depicting the moment when the Archmage Urza, realizing that his brother had been corrupted beyond recovery, destroyed both of their armies in an instant
