USPS delivers 152 million pieces of mail per day. Once the infrastructure is back up, or figured out (temp PO boxes perhaps), the mail will start again. Worst part is the mail that has been flooded - some might dry out.

Will it change your life if I tell you the USPS offers free home pickup? They have picked up literally 1,000 lbs of packages from my house since 2020. (Not available everywhere, I know.)

That jaunty cape and pith-style hat?! When did that become part of the uniform? Really a selling point that USPS needs to capitalize on. Work for USPS: great benefits, formal shorts, and GREATER capes.

the USPS has a giant whirling portal to everywhere hidden in nashua nh and a conveyor to dump packages into it, because it makes for a LOT of adventures once they arrive

is it just me or has the USPS gotten exponentially worse the past five months, this is the second time in a month a package has just ... gone traveling

The USPS actually has a fun catalog of its stamps, I got none recently (or is it a magazine? I'm sorry, I tossed it or I'd send it to you).

And also ... there was a hurricane that devastated Western NC and will likely impact early voting and USPS services in the region!
