USPS delivers 152 million pieces of mail per day. Once the infrastructure is back up, or figured out (temp PO boxes perhaps), the mail will start again. Worst part is the mail that has been flooded - some might dry out.
Will it change your life if I tell you the USPS offers free home pickup? They have picked up literally 1,000 lbs of packages from my house since 2020. (Not available everywhere, I know.)

The USPS actually has a fun catalog of its stamps, I got none recently (or is it a magazine? I'm sorry, I tossed it or I'd send it to you).
