Also, vocal synth releases just imo don't feel special anymore because there are so many vocasynth engines now. Meanwhile back then every new voicebank was HYPE. f.e. just take a look at how many songs were released on the same day sf-a2 miki was released
I thought I just felt like it because I'm not really into any other vocasynth other than vocaloid and utau (unlike most of the vocasynth community which aims mostly for more realism-based software), I guess I'm not the only one!
