The second (and not last) Terry Cavanagh game on this list: 6. VVVVVV. VVVVVV taught me the elegance of designing to the natural limit of what a mechanic needs to be, and no further. V is short, sweet, and each screen is memorable, because there's no wasted screens. All-time favorite platformer!

VVVVVV (On most platforms atm) The OST is the main driving force for this game, but the simplicity of it made me motivated to look into game development when I was a freshman in university (little did I know that I'd be dropping out a few years later)

27. VVVVVV. A simple and fun game that gets taken to crazy levels. Terry Cavanagh's first big hit is a fantastic case of taking a simple concept (instead of jumping you can only flip gravity) and really build upon it in a ton of amazingly creative ways. I made a whole video about Veni Vidi Vici once
