Englishness?!! - well, the English don't talk with a Scots, Irish or Welsh accent! But we do speak with many other accents (I, for one, was born in the Birmingham area but have lived in N Yorks for over 30 years. I'm fiercely Brummie but don't sound like it!). The usual rubbish from dog-whistlers.

Not sure that fully applies to the Welsh.
