I found the circle closing back in, Recadat being a sounding board on whom she then finds her way to preserving her family in the aftermath of Nuawa, the titular Big Bad of the novel, to be a very satisfying payoff, allowing some semblence of a happy ending for my favorite transfemme weretiger.
