Natuurlijk werd dit weer de WK baanwielrennen van Harrie Lavreysen. Zijn derde en laatste goud won hij in een sprint tegen rivaal Jeffrey Hoogland, die het zilver dit keer als iets moois zag. ‘Dankzij hem heb ik een makkelijker toernooi gehad.’

Literally true. Doubled their allowance. In part because $5/wk doesn’t buy what it used to. And in part because at 12 and 8 yo their interests do cost more than when they were smaller. And since they spend most of it on books, it’s all good.
