ppl need to stop brazenly asking authors if events in fiction were inspired by their lives. like mind ur goddamn business. i know it's hard to imagine but some ppl are really good at making up fake people

this is the end result of tokenization, of marketing certain books solely by the identities of the characters within the pages & not by merit of the story. so you can talk out of both sides of your mouth as a company, pretend to be progressive while caving to bigots. deeply shameful

Travelling internationally is so weird. I am personally someone who will be comfortable wearing something two days in a row. But when I'm travelling, I suddenly need my entire closet for the limited number of days I am there.

Todays craft. I live pretty far north, and it gets dark super early. So I needed to add something reflective to this dark jacket for when I'm walking home. And then, instead of like a flower or a butterfly, I went full nerd and added the shards of Narsil, the tree of Gondor, and the ring of power.

Apparently the way to get me to clean is to take away all my other hobbies (because of an injury) and then I'm properly bored and will sit and sort through my embroidery drawer to set it up

Gettysburg College has decided to shut down its prestigious literary magazine, Gettysburg Review, without consultation with the people who run it.

Screenshot of a thread from the Gettysburg Review on Twitter. It announces the closer of the journal, describes the lack of communication/discussion from the higher-ups, and encourages people to contact the president and provost of Gettysburg College. President Bob Iuliano: riuliano@gettysburg.edu, 717-337-6010. Provost Jamila Bookwalla: jbookwal@gettysburg.edu, 717-337-6820.
