Have you tried horse rescues, and they know Vets that could give you a clearer pic. Equus Foundation, might possibly have some resources. I certainly hope so.

they are at a veterinary hospital now, prepping for surgery. I guess there is some lack of oxygen, displaced blood vessels and something else displaced but ultrasound did not show volvulus, so that is a hopeful spot. I will look into Equus Foundation, thank you for the recommendation!
