As someone who has dealt with this in my own family, I see the way these cyber hacking scams can destroy a person, esp those who are living on a paycheck to paycheck basis. One cyber attack can be a disaster. We need better protection for our most marginalized community members.

Someone recently told me a presidential postdoc (which I am) is basically a 2 year interview for scholars of color & I can’t stop thinking about that. These programs were designed to help increase the # of faculty of color but been learning a lot more about the hidden curriculum embedded in them.
