A weird fantasy that keeps popping up in my head is that Harris blows away Trump, in large part because she ekes it out in Texas, and THAT is what convinces the GOP to do away with the Electoral College, because if Dems can sustain holding CA/TX, then it's effectively over every year under the EC.
