Cops are trained to violently seize people and haul them before the law. They often use unwarranted and brutal force in doing this, but most arrests end without trips to the hospital or morgue. Soldiers are trained to kill in cold blood.

We've tried having the military enforce the law. It was the norm for most of human history, even. Do you think that history, shaped by men who were trained to kill deciding what justice is, was a good one?

I think this would be a better argument if the US military didn't have substantially better trigger discipline and higher risk tolerance than virtually all US police departments.
