DA1 really struggles with being like, an immature work, I think. It wants to abandon the clearcut Good/Evil of D&D settings or KotoR, but its ability to conceive of what a more mature world looks like is the most childish trolley problem situations in the world

It's honestly really impressive that they got to Inquisition. I have huge criticisms of like, all of Bioware's catalogue, but Inquisition might be their first actually mature written piece that understands what human complexity looks like
