At the local beach the La Ninas with record rain has been eating away at the beach and the big swells have been draining the sand away. If you’ve read the New Yorker article about how the world is running out of sand, it talks about how the coast guard (?) dredges along the Atlantic coastline basically permanently to move the sand that shifts south back north

There are few acts more futile than trying to replace lost sand on a beach. It *never* works longterm. 😕
