I think I just found the perfect playmate for our foster boy Cider. He, too, enjoys exploring the world while upside-down sometimes.

Given the trials and tribulations I've read about with normal self-publishing, I think I am glad I went with the serial format. Feedback for editing and motivation, a Patreon with a few people willing to pay for early chapters, and a connection to a small publisher.

Aww, he reminds me of our cat Mister. I miss him. He was lovable and sweet, but he had a scraggly meow and was a healthy 18 lbs, so people who didn't know him often thought he was scary.

Yeah, as a poor, independent author with ADHD, I call BS on the idea of being against AI writing as being discriminatory. AI Art gets a small wedge of a pass if you aren't trying to pass it off as professional stuff. Like, making placeholder art or D&D character art.

I know that works for some people, but man, I am glad the web-serial format exists. I needed the feedback of getting followers and then comments. That feedback cycle is powerful. 2 years later and I am at 500k+ words/on volume 4 (though all my earlier stuff is still 'live' for editing right now).
