Normally I don't make these kinds of posts and maybe that's a failing on my part. But I will encourage other artists: start adding alt text to your stuff. It'd be great to help more visually impaired folks join in with us!

Also, Camel Case, in hashtags and usernames (sadly BlueSky doesn't allow capitalisation in usernames), this will greatly help people using screen readers, for example the infamous ... #susanalbumparty#SusanAlbumParty unless you want people looking forward to a sus anal bum party.

Especially if you're like me and repost a decent amount you can create doc with the alt text for your pieces and just paste it in anytime you post.

For those who want to do it but forget sometimes, you can set Bluesky to require alt text before it will let you send a post. I did it a month or two back and it's really helped me.

not an artist myself but I would add that there's an option in Settings > Accessibility to make it so that you need to put in alt text before a post can go through, if you need help making a habit of it (like I did)
