How long is the exposure? Try increasing to the max (10 seconds on my iPhone) and see what you get, if it’s not already :)

Wind it, unless you want to be tied to a swift. A loose hank is a recipe for disaster, unless you find untangling yarn intensely satisfying I wouldn’t do it

I read about this earlier but didn’t realize it needed size 13… I feel like this is helpful for beginners to get a feel for knitting in a less fiddly way but 13s are hard to manage :/ I started my kid this way but with worsted/size 8 and that seemed about perfect.
