You can call your own attractions something else. You don't get to slander and attack mine. I'm a map. That's the only label that describes me in a way I'm satisfied with.
I don't think it's useful to cancel a good word just for etymological reasons. Map is map. It doesn't have to depend on the idea of a minor in order to function as a sexuality label.
