Y'all isn't hillbilly, it's just regional. And it's used by a gigantic chunk of the country. It's a fantastic contraction. Use it.

Oh I gave up and just started using it while I was in the army; using “folks” and “troops” to refer to a group of soldiers gets pretty stilted after a few minutes lol
