If we don’t protect talented artists that have already been threatened and that we want to come to perform here then they won’t come. So our country will just turn into a cultural desert. Or more of a cultural desert.

In my never ending search for new music from people I kind of knew or had never heard before, this morning we have had Laura Marling. Have just listened to Semper Femina beginning to end and my review is: Bloody hell that is good.

As I get towards the end of the Yom Kippur fast I always crave things I wouldn’t otherwise- like say Primula cheese from a tube squeezed onto cream crackers. Yeah, I know but what can you do.
