How can you not notice that conservatives never take yes for an answer, unless you've been in a coma for the last 40 years?

I get rightfully dunking on Democrats (they're really bad on big issues!) but this is genuinely embarrassing for people who want to argue that they have a better understanding of how to establish a left beachhead in American politics.
