The Supreme Court’s ruling putting presidents above the law must be understood not simply as a grant of immunity for past crimes, but an enthusiastic endorsement of those he will commit if given the chance. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...
And gives him permission for a despotic second term.
SCOTUS is corrupted & not working in the best interest of America. This means we must deny Trump a 2nd term! Please, let’s all get over Biden’s age cos what we’re facing is greater - American dictatorship & political collapse.
The Constitution put presidents above the law, not this ruling. A president could already have someone commit crimes on his behalf and then pardon them. This ruling postpones any chance of a trial unless Biden is re-elected.
Fucking hell.
I don't understand arguing hypothetical scenarios. Why didn't they just argue the actual scenarios? •Fake electors? Unofficial •Strong-arm GA SoS? Unofficial •Storm Capitol? Unofficial •Steal docs? Unofficial •Witness tampering? Unofficial •Obstruction? Unofficial •Threats? Unofficial
"IF" he wins in November. It is still 4 months away.
Is there a path forward for American democracy that doesn't involve assassinations?
Trump: I want to be a dictator. SCOTUS: Here you go!
We need a constitutional convention, or at least a debate on one. Another rogue presidency and an authoritarian judiciary aren't what Americans signed up for.
Thank you for bringing more clarity to abomination.
The funny thing is that John Roberts would be the first one to go on a night of the long knives
