“Who won and lost the 2020 election?” *is* a question about the future. It’s asking “will you lie incessantly about basic factual reality, attacking the bedrock of the US Constitutional order, no matter how much it hurts America?” And almost all Republicans are answering “yes, that is my intention.”

Boot is often wrong. But a good article on drone warfare & spending priorities. Urgent needs are: (i) a 20-30 MM radar guided gatling gun capable of firing proximity fused fragmentation projectiles and (ii) a next gen much lower cost extended range Stinger. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...

Drone use in Ukraine and the Middle East is rewriting warfare tactics as the U.S. military rushes to adapt.

After the election it will be a time for another conversation about preparing for the ravages of climate-change caused or intensified natural disasters. Trump's Project 2025 would have told the people of Florida, screw you, you are on your own. www.motherjones.com/environment/...

Differences in how quickly each state’s counties can report this year’s election results may lead to another “blue shift” or “red mirage” on the presidential electoral map.

This year’s Electoral College map may show another ‘blue shift.’ Here’s why

"Philosophical support" for self-determination must yield to competing priorities in any foreign policy based on realism. SD doesn't imply atomization or a right to succession. U.S. should follow Spanish & French lead as they are the 2 countries likely to be impacted by any conflict refugees.

Amused at persons that are outraged when, out of the 100s of horrific situations in the world, one doesn’t share their particular passion/outrage, especially if you demand to know what vital American interest is at stake. Vibes, tribal interests, & feigned moral superiority aren’t foreign policy.

Social media is not a town square. The metaphor is actively misleading--probably deliberately so-- to make you tolerate things you would never tolerate in real life.
