A couple of years ago I was talking to a Stanford undergrad who was telling me about a tech bro type in her dorm, and I told her to remember that guy so years later she could say “I knew he was an asshole before anyone else did.” I suspect you and I were thinking of the same group of bro’s.

If experts cannot convene to even talk about what the role of government should be in addressing harmful misinformation and strategic disinformation targeting our elections and election workers, then … maybe we’ll be fine, but recent history suggests that democracy may be on the line.
I’ve never understood why the standard protocol for gate agent announcements isn’t to state the airline and flight number (and optionally destination) EVERY TIME THEY USE THE MIC.

Honestly if these kinds of things were addressed and y’all added RSS support (mostly for newsletters I subscribe to, but Kill the Newsletter seems to be a nice service for that), Flipboard could be my one-stop shop for news…
