It's such a bad state of affairs. The temperature on the platform rose by a solid 10 degrees when Aegis' lists were deleted, because instead of volunteers quietly preventing people from seeing transphobic content, everyone sees everything now because there are no widely used block lists anymore.

I'm saddened by the Aegis situation on a lot of levels, there were so many own-goals throughout that saga. But deleting all of the existing mute lists was so self-inflicted and so wholly avoidable it feels like it was done out of spite. I don't think anything was gained by them doing that.
