I wish prog did this to me 😅
To me, roleplay (in game terms) is the act of playing a character other than yourself in a way that gives you agency over their choices and immerses you in their world. That definition is purposely broad because everyone roleplays differently, but that's what I've always viewed as the through line.
Only if you want to. If you don't think it will benefit the game, there's always pamphlet printing or saddle stitched zines.
Whu when did I mention the Delorean
god i wanted to scream “just literally get any job” at her during her job hunt. like, yes duh keep applying in your field, but like, go work at a walgreens for a bit. go outside! it’s fine!
Omg thank you so much for actually posting screenshots. I've been wanting context for all this since it happened.
“waaaahhh i can’t work customer service bc i cry when ppl get mad at me” do u think ur special? i am also crying when customers get mad at me but i do my little grounding exercises in the bathroom and get back out there bc i don’t have the option to get a comfy emails job!
Right on. One of my regular players runs campaigns like that, so we tend to alternate the group between open world and dungeon crawl depending on who's DMing.
White Plume Mountain and Tomb of Horrors are my faves of these. Gotta get Dungeonland, though!!
I've never run the type of campaign where that would occur (lots of old school dungeon crawls and stuff), but I think it would detract from the limited time we have to play together in a way that doesn't entertain anyone not included.
