I thought the person that I was replying to was suggesting a token to remove ads, maybe I misread it. Either way, the token for access thing will never happen. It just doesnā€™t make sense for publishers.

I know, but the point is that a paid token to remove ads is competing with tools that remove ads for free, so itā€™s unlikely that many people who are bothered by ads would even see them in the first place. Youā€™re probably better off with just a digital tip jar.

The subscription model doesnā€™t. Why would anyone subscribe to an outlet that they think publishes clickbait?
