I don't like arguments like these at all. I think they're terrible from a centre left perspective as they make environmental protections appear silly. They also undermine the professional expertise of those who work in environmental fields.

I think that Sadiq Khan gets it right when he talks about access to nature as a matter of social justice. I would like to see more of this and less of the YIMBY/NIMBY divide, which I think is a false dichotomy.
