The trouble with designing cities around vehicles, instead of pedestrians/bikes, is that drivers will never be happy unless they’re the only driver on the road. Drivers inherently grok the inefficiency of single occupancy vehicles on roadways, but blame other drivers rather than poor city designs.

Kinda funny to hear drivers complain about congestion really, if it weren't for the consequences. "How dare all these people do the same thing as me, at the same time and place."
