On the heels of the post I quoted about rejection in the literary world, you would think it would be easier as an artist given you're also microdosing rejection continually with your art But nah. Not easier. And it never ends. Just got a rejection just now!
It's for sure one of the toughest things about the job! Especially when a lot of this rejection comes in the form of just never responding to you, so you never get any feedback.
There are artists I know who are SO well known. Have done MtG cards, won awards, show up at conventions, do everything and they STILL get rejected from projects like this all the time. I know artists like this who are literally struggling to get any work at all right now.
Thank you, this was a dose of encouragement I needed today, as I just got two rejections. 🤣
