That specific tailoring to random individuals is bullshit and just self soothing. The way to pressure electorally the person you vote for is through coalition efforts. Get enough folks pooled together & national candidates will hear you out. Be a real part of a victory & you'll get better access

I would add as an addendum that the alignment pressure is not fully over after the names are locked in on the ballot for an election. There is often an air that a national candidate will give two rats assess about each specific individuals vote, find them, and cater to them to "win" the vote
