My town actually passed an ordinance requiring you to announce that you’re recording people in any government building prior to doing so because the right kept setting up hidden cameras to try and get their gotcha moment and eventually published recordings… 1/2

of a council-person talking with their teenage child about medical issues before a town council meeting started. The right thought they caught the council-person in a drug scandal - no, the kid had just had surgery and was asking their parent a question about the painkillers they were prescribed.

We were told we couldn't ask First Amendment chuds not to film *other patrons* in libraries. Result of pandering to these YouTube farmers? Several libraries suffered vandalism by YT 'prankers'.
