Layperson question: that cladogram is constructed purely from estimated age of fossils & anatomical similarities? I assume DNA doesn't last long enough :-)
Cladograms for long extinct fossil animals are based on anatomical traits. DNA isn't known for animals as old as the dinosaurs shown here, but is available for (some) animals of more recent times. Geological age doesn't have input on the relationships we work out.
