No, I'm quite aware there is still a lot of work to do. My point is that the requirements for EU accession need to be applied just as stringently to existing members too. Otherwise candidates will see that they only need to suppress corruption until they join, rather than implementing real change.
How is Hungary still in the EU when Ukraine has to spend years jumping through hoops to prove it has eradicated this type of corruption?
