I take this as a joke. These things are very easy to model -- after all, it's just the specification of operating conditions of a machine. They were just not modeled. (and the question is whether elsewhere legal specifications for these systems exist -- which is likely)

It costs less energy to get fossil fuels, but we can't use them as efficiently.
