Yes. If you had a bat in your place go to a doctor anyway bc like I love bats but these mfers carry so many really nasty zoonoses. Not just rabies but other lyssaviruses, also a possible vector for a fungal infection that's especially dangerous to immunocompromised I remember reading about ebola too

But afaik that isn't linked conclusively. Oh also..usa has a few cases of the plague regularly bc there are some rodents, I think prairie dogs who can catch and transmit it. Marmots seem to be a reservoir while prairie dogs, like rats will develop symptoms.
