Put another way: Every way I communicate with people—social media, texting, email, etc—is now just political fundraisers and so not only am I alienated from my country by the perpetual election, I’m alienated by the infiltration of every channel to me. I block them and they still come.

I gave $20 to a friends campaign more than 10 years ago and the emails have been relentless ever since. I have unsubscribed and blocked on every conceivable platform and still they come. The only good is that I didn’t use my primary email account. But what a broken system.

I think a lot about how in 08 Obama ran the first billion dollar campaign, and on election night amidst the celebrating I had the passing thought that if it costs a billion dollars to win, we’ve actually lost. Harris raised a billion dollars just this quarter.

It’s exhausting.

It’s so annoying. “Delete and report junk.” “Block number.” “Reply: STOP.” None of it works. But I need my USA cell to work like a USA cell for other important reasons, so… 🤷🏻‍♀️🙄
