My cat almost always uses her scratching posts, but she does *occaaaaaaasionally* try to use the sofa... But she stops immediately when I just ask her politely to stop.

My brother’s kitten uses her many scratching posts but seems to also be fond of any baskets around the house, just not when my brother can see her 🤣
