I guess all we can hope now is that someone leaks both movies online, but given that Jerry Lewis's The Day the Clown Cried is still locked away in a vault I'm probably being optimistic.
1) I don't think I have any. If it was Kindest / Most Caring / Funniest / Most Loving Motherfucker I could list a good ten, but cool motherfuckers sound exhausting to me at my age, 2) Dorothy Parker. Absolutely no doubt in my mind on that one,
I regret nothing! Well, apart from paying for a ticket in the first place. And I'll keep an eye out for something we might both like in the New Year, though it might be best if it's not written by someone I used to adore!
It's Armando Iannucci's new play at the Soho Theatre about covid. AND IT MAKES BORIS JUST LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT, RATHER THAN A CONNIVING (removed by my legal department) AND APPALLING ****. AM I DOING THIS RIGHT? ;)
I know what you mean, and likewise.
But Pandemonium really was terrible! ;)
I'm just so perplexed by the whole thing, I mean I love so much of Armando's comedy, but I can't explain why he thought that would be funny.
I'm absolutely with you there, I only read Tom Strong and Top Ten this year but both are an absolute delight, and it's clear he really enjoyed writing both, they're almost endlessly inventive and filled with some really funny ideas.
It took me a while but I managed to get Vol.11 for £13 in the UK via Amazon. I'd recommend bookmarking the page and checking it each day, as sometimes sellers list things at their proper RRP without realising how rare a book is. (It's also how I managed to get Shade The Changing Man Vol.3 too!)
