Is there a way on GitHub to auto-gen pull request descriptions from the commits? I can see all these commits. The information is right here. I just want it in a nice text list. AFAIK I have to manually copy all this text and manually clean it up. #indiegamedev#github

There is, before merging you can squash the commit history into a single commit, it will merge all into one and then ask you to review the commit message, it will have all those messages in there.

I assume there's a `git` command line that does exactly what I want. The problem is that `git` was designed by a pack of incoherent dumpster demons. It's various incantations range from "completely forgettable" to "eldritch horrorshow". Hence I try to avoid it whenever possible.
