Cavolo Nero, cut into thin strips across the rib, steamed, then served lightly salted alongside something dark and beefy, like a steak and ale pie. Any leftovers, reheat in the microwave and slap a fried egg on top. Feels great to prepare too, a proper Studio Ghibli vegetable.

Parasite Eve 2. Graphics are alright, but the controls are awful and it has all kinds of issues, philosophically and ludologically. But I found it weirdly compelling, and beat it twice. It also has great guns, even though that’s really not my thing - the P08 Artillery Luger with the snail magazine!
We tried watching on ITV Hub, but you got about 10 minutes of cruise, funeral plan and care home adverts for every 15 minutes of Poirot. Then it would frequently crash while trying to resume the actual show. Buying the DVDs was absolutely worth the money.
Not only does my daughter love these books in and of themselves, but they also led to her asking to watch the entirety of David Suchet's Poirot with us on DVD. So now we have a weekly family Poirot night, which is a real treat. All for the bargain cost of a paperback! (and a 35 DVD Poirot box set)
