There is no actual free speech when corporations can control who deserves and doesn't deserve reach. Powerful ones ask for "absolute freedom of speech" because they know they have the upper hand to reach millions.

Hate engagement is easy, dumb, but extremely profiting. That's why all social media bends to it while pretending to have a Safety and Moderation Team to keep things "normal enough" so advertisers won't quit.
Just because something gets a high comment rate (i.e engagement through anger/hate) doesn't mean people should see it. Sometimes, the precise reason why a post gets high engagement is the same reason why people should *NOT* see it on their timelines.
The biggest challenge for BlueSky is how mainstream social media makes people addicted to artificial metrics (high follower count) and overhyped engagement. A lot of things that go viral at Instagram and/or Twitter won't work here, because it's not how the algorithm is built.
Bsky knows public web interface, which allows embedding posts, is a basic webmarketing strategy! Great news.
