I miss websites. It makes me sad when I try to find information from a business/club/organisation and their website hasn't been updated since 2016. Then you have to trawl through a Facebook page full of garbage to try and find any details on what you're looking for.
Trying to find accurate opening times and correct menu prices is a nightmare.
Although I'll always think that one sign of a good neighbourhood bar is an online presence consisting, in its entirety, of a Facebook page that hasn't been updated since they announced their Covid reopening.
the internet has turned into AOL circa 1997
I agree and I also don't understand it. Whenever I need something - a plumber, finding a restaurant in a new town, etc. - I look for websites. If you don't have one, you miss income from clients like me.
Additionally I miss the opportunity to search websites. A website with a lot of content but no internal search? Seriously? 😐🥲
My organization relies on corporate research at times -- needing to find any publicly available info on a company. And they blocked Facebook. They end up getting a lot of "no publicly available information found" as a result.
I feel you!

There is truly nowhere to find basic information about municipal services on one convenient site any more. Like, “is Juneteenth a collection holiday?” or “why was the town hall closed when there was public notice of a zoning board meeting?”
Agreed. I hate giving permission for a company to have autonomy over my iPhone and information.
