This is good stuff. Philosophy of Science is how you get better thinkers. My Environmental Philosophy course wasn't perfect, but it introduced a lot of "this is how and why we think the way we do about managing the environment" concepts to me and enables much more effective work to change things.

I've been wishing for this ever since I learned (not in school, from a Bill Bryson book) that science actually was a thing that developed based on principles and stuff and that there was a whole philosophy and history.
This, but keep an eye on the philosophers or you’ll end up with a very esoteric course on “what is truth” that puts scientists off other disciples for the rest of their careers.

Absolutely! I had to take history and philosophy of science my senior year of undergrad and it was both an amazing class and extremely useful in shaping my thinking.
