Nobody tells you getting a baby to sleep sort of feels like herding a feral cat

If they did, no one would have one.

I love how parenting books have no actual practical advice. And they all end up saying “each baby is different”… well… duh 🙄

Or that they are as rigid as a sack of potatoes for four months. I was pretty surprised by that. 

On the other hand it really did help me prepare to be an engineering manager.
